ladders

i can talk about ladders all day. they are the mainstay of my job so im climbing ladders every working day. Because of this its very important that i have the best ladders for the job.At first i used DIY ladders because i knew no better . After a while i had a rethink -how can i find better ladders? How i found the best way  was by getting the opinions from more seasoned fulltime window cleaners. One brand of ladder that kept cropping up in conversation was LYTE – makers of commercial ladders

so i settled on trade ladders made by LYTE. You cannot buy LYTE  down at the DIY  store because theyre sold thru middlemen .  let me tell you that LYTE ladders are not particularly light weight. But if you are a daily ladder user they are very well constructed.

last week i decided to replace my main ladders used by my employees and myself. Not because they were broken ,simply because after 8 yrs theyd taken a real hammering, i didnt want to wait till they actually broke for obvious reasons. When they come from the factory they have a light coat of machine oil on them,i remove this carefully using soapy water and a scrubbing brush .i also remove any sharp edges with a needle file. Spend at least 1 hour on each ladder prepping it for service life ahead.

heres a foto of the recent new ladders on arrival at my home ladders 002ladders 004ladders 003
